The Vana looks the sole stiff enough for a person with hallux limitus?

I just asked Nicole and she said they're less rigid than Dansko, but more than your average sandal. A very sturdy sandal she says.

Thanks Kirsten. I will give them a try! By the way, thank you for all of your shoe recommendations...they have been a godsend for me. :)

Very cute sandals! Just tried them from Zappos....unfortunately they don't work for me. I found the soles quite hard, no cushioning at all and no arch support. Very uncomfortable! The Wolky Jewel is a winner for me even tho it's not so cute.

Kirsten, they look very nice, but I don't trust Velcro as I ride a bicycle everywhere and I'm terrified of the Velcro coming apart and leaving me barefoot (even if on a bicycle path, there can be glass and other nasties). It is getting harder to find shoes and sandals with buckles.

Thanks again for your thoughtful reviews.
